Tricarboxylic acid cycle (the Krebs cycle) and oxidative phosphorylation. Pyruvate entry into the cycle is controlled by pyruvate dehydrogenase activity, which is inhibited by the levels of ATP and NADH. Two other regulatory points of the cycle are isocitrate and a-ketoglutarate dehydrogenases, which are influenced by the levels of high-energy phosphates.
